7 week itch

Y'all getting ready? I've got to still order my drag radials but other than that it's a few odds and ends on my car and I'm ready.

Someone in a piece of junk, with garbage insurance (Trexis) rear ended me. I hope to have it fixed by the fest, but I don't know. They are running me around and delaying, hoping I will say screw it and pay to fix it myself.

Oh crap, sorry to hear about that, a nightmare scenario. Hope it'll work out in the end, from customer reviews it seems it may be the insurance company that is slow as molasses, not the other driver.

Yes it happened a month ago, and the Trexis insurance company won't call me back or answer emails. It's just recorded message, long wait, and then the message says "We are too busy, call back later" and hangs up. I can't speak to anyone in person. Probably going to have to get a lawyer so I will be lucky if I don't lose $500 on this.

Lawyer up. You'll probably be ignored until then. Sorry to hear that Kirk.

Never contact the other insurance company. That's what your insurance company has lawyers for.

Yeah but if I go through my own insurance company (which is what I ended up doing) I have to pay the $500 deductible out of my pocket.

Until your insurance company gets the money from the other insurance company and you get your money back.

Hmm. My agent told me I'd have to pay the $500.

"You might have to pay your deductible though which is $500. It sucks you might have to pay the deductible when it’s not your fault. However, the Camaro will fixed quicker and then it’s Safeco’s headache and not yours."

Yes thank you, the adjuster just called me and said they will go after the other insurer to get the deductible back.

Same here, my unlocked tcm is supposed to be to me by Thursday and car goes on the dyno, not really building a race car but should run pretty good 😊
