Durango SRT Hellcat

So when I originally look at getting one they were limited to 2000 units. It looks like Dodge just upped it to over 3000 units, might have to look again!

180mph top speed
0-60 in 3.5
NHRA certified 11.5 1320'

BUT 90K loaded up with some goodies.

And yes I would talk about a Chevy here but the 2021 Trailblazer (while nice) is no Durango SRT HC, I would have to go back to my 2006 Trailblazer SS 6.0 AWD which did pull an impressive 13.5 @103- full weight, full gas, full spare, all my crap inside.

I love the TBSS. I wish I had one. You have to love what Dodge as doing, they even admit this can't last.

That is impressive. Get it while the getting is good. We just don't have that kind of fun in cars anymore, and the scant examples left will not be around in a few years.

All good I figured I would check in but I can’t blame you for holding off. I got lucky and my trade in values ended up being way better than expected.

Agreed and would have traded out, but 100K+ to gamble on a 50% drop and MPG.. just not worth it vs the vehicles I currently own. My 1500 Limited is stupid nice and hard to replace now.

Nothing wrong with making a safe decision. We traded off stuff that wasn’t going to hold value no matter what so it was better gamble for us.

So I'm seriously considering one. I contacted the dealership where I got my Challenger Hellcat from and they have one on the lot. They have 4 more coming. I'mtrying to find out if they have markups. The one I'm looking at is optioned just how I'd want it. So I figure I'll trade in the 21 Ram 1500 if I can get a good deal. Then I'll keep my ZL1, Challenger Hellcat, Mustang GT, and I'll add the Durango.

So at 3,000 units it will still be less than even the Demon and possibly it'll be the most sought after Hellcat variants in the near future.

If I do go this route then I'll have a lot to consider. But if I can get a really good deal then I'm game.

BlaqWhole when you getting that Model S Plaid though? We thought your fleet would be converted to EVs by now.

I once took some chick out on a date. On our way to the restaurant I told her that I was gonna order the steak dinner. We gets to the joint, waiter comes to take our order, I ordered some apps and then proceed to order a cajun pasta dish...the chick immediately interrupts and laughs and says "I thought you were ordering the steak". I looks at her and said, "oh I am, I'm not done ordering".

Long story short, who says I'm not getting the Plaid?

Also consider that the Durango Hellcat is a very limited production. I don't care about the value but I would love to be one of the very lucky few to own one.

Those markups tho...

😂 yeah markups are a bitch…. I paid MSRP and it was still over 100k out the door. I’ve seen 130-180k range for these things new and 100-130k used with a some miles… not sure if it will ever be worth a lot but I do feel strongly that it won’t lose a lot of its value very quickly which is nice. Best of luck and I hope it works out for you. 🍻
