This is probably true but I think you’ve got to give the non Power 5 teams a shot at it because right now there’s just a few teams with even a shot at a national championship. Break that logjam; once some other schools can get a shot in the college post-season, you will see some of the recruiting advantage spread out to other schools. Eventually that mismatch goes away.

Like I said in my previous post if they are consistantly posting winning records and win their bowl games they will be considered.

They (the committee) don't want some flash in the pan with an easy schedule jumping the cue.

I think the committee is more interested in maintaining the current power structure than including additional teams.

I live 20 minutes from Bryant Denny Stadium and I agree. This whole season is messed up for the most part. Just play regular season(as regular as possible anyway) and let it go.

Kick the Georgia Bulldogs butts and then you will see some respect, but if they lose it will be the same old same old.

TV ratings and a team's fans travel potential may influence committee selections.

Cinci lost a close one to Georgia.

They would have been destroyed by Alabama a lot worse than Notre Dame was.

They played in the proper slot.

Who knows unless they actually play the games? Georgia lost 41-24 to Alabama earlier this year, and Cincinnati was one play away from winning the Peach Bowl so hard to say. Kudos for the Georgia kicker for hitting a 53 yard field goal; NFL kickers miss a lot at that distance.

So now we have another Alabama - Ohio State championship game. Yawn. I’d personally like to see an 8 team playoff so that a team has to beat three quality opponents to be considered national champion.

Yeah I went to OSU but i still dont get why there is not a huge tournament at the end of the season. Know football games take more out of folks and could run on a while but as long as its over by march madness, who cares?
