Fix for broken socket storage case

There are better tools, and I can certainly afford them now, but I have owned this craftsman socket set since 92. It has sentimental value to me and we’ve been through a few projects. The hinge on the case is long gone and it makes me crazy, but I can’t part with it. Any good ideas on how to fix it? Was thinking of maybe bolting a couple hinges on it or something.

I’ll bet a length of duct tape would work fine.

You can buy trays that have magnetic ends to hold the sockets. I have them for each of my sets.

I have the same socket set and mine is the same way. I still have all the original tools in it. But that 10mm almost got away. Thought about putting hinges on it, but just carry it around like a pizza box. Most of my tools are Craftsman and have performed well. I checked not long ago and the case was still available for replacement. I have sentimental attachment to mine as well.

+1
Though Gorilla tape would match better.
