If so, wow. What a great idea. Have you tracked your car with this setup? How is the feel?
I don’t road race. I’m a drag racer. Wanted to save some weight but didn’t want to lose the lovely front brakes. Purchased rotors and pads, swapped hats and hardware, and that was it.

Wow, I just looked up those ceramic rotors for the Z06. Cheapest I saw was $1736 per side. No thanks. I'd by the girodisc first. Way cheaper.

I too think its ridiculous you cant just buy rotor rings, thats the entire point of a two piece rotor. Hoping someone finds something for when I need to replace them in the future.

So Z06 Rotors are a direct swap for our cars? That is good to know! When my rotors need replacing, I will be looking towards the z06 parts.

That is not the way I read the parts guide. The rotor rings for the iron disc Z06 are the same as the SS 1LE, but ours (ZL1) are actually a bit larger.

But, the carbon rotors for the Z06 are just about the same diameter as ours.

This is wacked when you think about it. If a Z06 buyer opts for Carbon brakes, they are bigger than the iron brakes. Talk about confusing...

Fyi
Girodisc new rotors are usually just 200$ more than just the discs replacements.
So worst case scenario you pay 200$ more for the first per pair.

They're not the same size as ours. The rotor rings are a direct swap for the SS 1LE's, but we have "uniquely" sized rotor rings.
