From what I read, not even GM can disable the system.
You can toss all the sensors in a/the spare tire, so they all read the same pressure. |

I read its federally mandated. That's a good idea with the spare, I also seen where you go to Lowes and buy 2 plastic caps and a piece of pipe. Toss the sensors inside glue the caps on the pipe then drill one of the caps for a Schrader valve, fill with air and toss it in the truck. Car is happy and so are you. But I have to say as much as I dislike the feature it saved me from a roadside tire change twice. I had run over a nail and the tire was going flat but I got a warning. Happened 2 times since I own the car.
