Wow! First time waxing
So on this fine mother's day, my wife helped me clean and wax my car, can you believe it!? she did a great job.
First time doing this, so I made sure to use all the microfiber stuff etc and not scratch anything. After the washing, I parked it in the garage and we started waxing with paste wax. Had no idea what to expect applying it, removing it, or the results. I think I needed more than the six small towels to remove it all next time.... When I got done and pulled out outside, I couldn't believe how awesome it looked. Like I was ready for a car show or something! Amazing glossy reflection, etc etc. Made the car look 10x better. I know you guys are probably used to it looking like this, but like I said I've never waxed my cars before. The wax likes to get down in the cracks between parts and that kind of sucked, but not sure how to prevent that really. If I hose down the car after driving it on the rainy dirty roads tomorrow, will the wax prevent water spots if I don't dry it? Just wondering what the easiest way to keep it clean is without bringing out the soap and towels. |

With that I still have to wipe stuff down and dry. I wish I could just take 2 minutes to hose the car down, park in garage, and it would magically dry without water spots...

Yea unfortunately you don't want to rinse without drying. This would be the quickest way to get a quick wash

There are so many ways to get gloss that don't involve paste waxes and buffing off....sealant can be sprayed on and you walk away. A great one is Blackfire crystal seal.....find it at the autogeek store....20 min to do the whole car....after 20 min it looks like this:
