Hood Rattle?
So I'm getting excited approaching 1500 miles (1303 as I type this) but I've recently noticed a rattling noise as I pass over mild rough patches in the road. At first I thought something was shaking around under the hood like the steering column hitting the headers or something, but I couldn't find anything to jiggle and replicate the noise. That is, until I closed the hood then I realized that if I pressed a little harder on the hood it would make the same noise as when I was moving.
I've raised and lowered the rubber leveling... uh, things... and it seemed to help having them fully raised. However, it still rattles as I drive. I was really hoping to fix this myself, but I'm starting to think I'm going to have to find time to bring it to the dealership. Anyone else have this problem? Any fixes for it?

Update, it only happens on bumps and not at speed, so now thinking that it is suspension.

Could be the infamous swaybar link bolt problem on driver side. Check that out. There are some threads here on the forum about it. I wish GM would fix these things a little faster since that one started with the SS. The last thing I want to do is bring it to a dealer to have my car returned to me all F'd up. It happened to many times with my 2012 ZL1, from messing up rims to actually running into my car while sitting in the lot after SC replacement.

Hey, that's what mine's doing! It just started on Saturday at about 900 miles.

I wanted to change out my lug nuts anyway with my Gorillas, so I had an excuse to remove the front wheels after work and inspect the sway bar links. Sure enough, as per the other post, the driver side was not torqued. The passenger side was tight and had a blue smear of paint of some sort on it, not Loctite. The driver side had no blue paint. The passenger side blue paint looked as if it's there to note if anything backs off spec, not to thread lock anything.
I'm going to get cleaned up and go for a drive and see if the rattle's gone. (Duh, I didn't mention that I did tighten up the driver side link...) Edit #2; the rattle is gone! Re-torqueing the driver side sway bar link did the trick! Tara
