so the LT1 model (dumb name considering that's the name of the engine also)
has the base model front end and the V8. But will it have the SS suspension or base suspension. Wasn't really stated. I'm guessing the base suspension.

Agree. I can see if they called it the LT, because historically, the base model Camaros were LT models.

Brighter colors contrasted with the gloss black bumper. I agree though, black, dark gray, and silver look best.

I'd wager base suspension too. Not a bad proposition for someone who was already planning on upgrading it.

A fast comparison:
2019 Challenger R/T (the little 5,7l V8): $34,295 2020 Camaro 1LT $34,995 2019 Mustang GT $35,355 2019 Camaro 1SS (cheapest V8 Camaro for 2019): $37,995 2019 Challenger R/T Scat Pack (6,4l HEMI V8): $39,995 That's a really good MSRP.

I think the LT1 has the same suspension and auxiliary cooling as the 1SS/2SS, but not the bumper, LEDs, gauges, or 8" touchscreen. It's not a bad deal for the V8 enthusiast.

There was no LT1 before. There was 1LT, 2LT and 3LT. LT1 is a new model designation.

Yesssssss.
I've been saying it for months now that these would be the 2 big updates for 2020: The SEMA-style painted fascia and a cheaper V8. It wasn't exactly a unique guess or anything since there was tons of info to substantiate both. I love the 6th gen refresh's RS style front end, so the LT-1 V8 is going to be tempting. I hope they offer an RS and 1LE package. Or at least an RS package for 2020 and a 1LE for 2021. The non-RS head lamps look awful, but I'm sure they could be swapped out easily enough.

honestly my biggest problem wasn't so much the emblem or the color but the wide, flat shape of the bumper. The new Blazer pulled off a similar look 10x better. It looks better at first glance now so i'll take a wait see . still hate what they did to the base car. Took an all new car and restyled it like a 5thgen.
