Whistle noise when reaching ~40 MPH
I have a 2015 2LT RS I purchased about a month ago. Everything is stock. When I reach around 35 MPH or higher I can hear what sounds like a whistle from the air passing through something (my best guess). It's slightly annoying and can be covered up by music, but doesn't seem right. Any thoughts or advice?
Thanks! |

It's the side mirrors. They all do it if conditions are just right.

Thanks. However, this seems to always occur no matter what the conditions are. Maybe it's just how the car is and I'll have to deal with it. Absolutely love the car otherwise!

Here's an old thread that shows how long this issue has existed.

Do you have a cia intake? I have a whistling noise in mine in 4th gear and the dealership said the aftermarket intake was the cause.

There was an old story in the GM Techlink web site that said the sound is really coming from a gap around the headlights. The fix was a small bead of clear sealant
