So, has anyone tried this kit out? I'm thinking about doing the lighter tint option, so if anyone has pics of it please post. Also, just how illegal is this? There are tons of cars and trucks in my area with tint, but I would like an idea of how much negative attention this is going to draw. Thanks a lot!

it is illegal, but rarely are you going to get pulled for it. Now, if you are pulled for speeding, recklessness, etc.. they will just start pilling it on with the illegal tints. Drive safe and smart, and you shouldn't (shouldn't**) get pulled for it. Up to the Lawman!

tinted tail lights are legal

If you are concerned about legality, most states do have some sort of distance visibility requirements for the taillights. You would need to check with your local jurisdiction. Vehicle inspection criteria are usually a good starting point. We make no guarantees to any of our products' street legality, not even for the clear headlight protection kits.

From our night taillight tint kit testing - on site here all 3 tint levels were visible on out non-LED taillight equipped test car from 1000 feet.
