My guess is that translates to around 15 thousand pre-orders. Nominally, production at Bowling Green maxes out at around 35k units a year (though they haven't hit that in a while). Call it 3000 per month. For the C8, the 2020 model run is going to start late this year, which is around halfway through the normal production cycle. Then you have ramp-up which takes a couple months before things are at full speed, so the first few months are going to average maybe half-speed.

Assuming they intend on eventually building at the old max rate, I could see maybe 500 cars this December, then 1000 in January. 2000 for Feb. Then 3000 for March, April, May, and June with July being the start of the 2021s. That adds up to 15,500 ... so maybe just treat December's production as a rounding error, taking it down to 15k.

I could just as easily build a case for it being as much as 20k or as little as 10k. I'd bet a dime on 15k, but only a nickle on each of the other two.

Pretty sure this will increase production over what was done with the C7...If I recall, the Stingray C7 debut was kept at one shift, and first orders were "sold out" and deliveries settled down to "normal" after a while, but with a second shift already in place, I'm guessing C8 production is expected to stay a lot higher compared to the C7, even though assembly of the C8 may be more complex....My $.02

Love the body shape, but my eyes immediately went to the wheels/tires package, which just looks all wrong on the base version.

The fender gap needs to be less and the wheels need to extend out flush to the fenders.

I sure hope they adopt this look in the upcoming Grand Sport/Z06 trim levels.

GM did the wheel/tire package awesome on the SS 1LE and ZL1's, I hope they will achieve that look on the upper Corvette versions.

couple more in long beach. i remember when the C7 debuted, immediately there were sightings here in arizona and california in different color, but not like this in every color immediately.
