I have a large galaxy ssb radio... With a k40 whip. Haven't had the courage to install them into my camaro... Much less tune the antenna.... Just not in this car....

I didn't want to hack up my car running power, adding an antenna, & mounting the CB so I just use a Handheld.

I used a thin rubber pad on my magnet mount and never lost it at 150 mph. I am looking at Cobra's compact CB to put in my 2013. https://www.cobra.com/detail/75-wx-s...aa-weather.cfm
Had a 2010 with the normal size CB w/ weather and as our group was going through the middle of Nebraska, the storm clouds were dark and building. NOAA weather was stating there is quarter size hail in that storm so we pulled off and let it pass. |
