Carpro Hydro2 application and review

Ok, so this stuff was like pretty expensive and I was not sure if it would work. I found it on sale for %50 a while ago so I figured I would try it out. It's kind of like a ceramic coating without actually doing the ceramic coating. You just wash your vehicle, mix this stuff with water and spray it on, then hose it off. That's it. It works pretty good. I didn't use my Z06 for the vid as I'm going to ceramic coat that vehicle so I didn't want to put this on, only to have to remove it. It's really good at UV protection, so good at protecting the clear coat.

Damn good video. If I can get it cheap I would use it in my wife’s minivan. Would use on my car but just bought a buffer and ceramic coat to do to it.

Thanks buddy!!! Appreciate the comment, I was able to buy it at 50% off so even though I thought it was kind of expensive, for the 50% off its a good deal as it does last a long time when you dilute it.

This is one of the Carpro products I am not a fan of, only due to price.
At 50% off it's a better deal.
I really like their Hydrofoam, which is a soap infused with silica, and provides the same protection in one step versus two.
When you apply Hydro2, at the very least, a strip wash must be performed. You don't want to use any kind of soap to wash with that has gloss enhancers, as this will affect the bond to the clear coat.
Also a vehicle that needs claying will have limited durability as well.
Many people like Hydro2 for wheels, because it's so easy to use on them.

Good comment, ya I wouldn't pay regular price for this stuff, way to expensive, but at %50 off I could live with it

I forgot to add...…..When you re-apply the Hydro2, the best soap you can use to wash with is the Carpro Reset. 1.5 oz in a 5 gallon bucket is all you need.

You actually may use this soap, and find Hydro2 doesn't need re-applying just yet, as the beading and sheeting may be restored.
This soap will remove any oils from the surface to ensure a proper bond when re-applying.

Any of the Carpro products can be found at Sky's the Limit Car Care. Use code TLC for 15% off anything they have (except microfiber madness products).

Corey Carruth, who runs STLCC, is one of very few honest people in the detailing business, gets every order out same day that he possibly can, and provides excellent customer service.
