Z51 vz ZF1
What is included in the Z-51 that is not in the ZF-1 ? I know it is things like dry sump oiling but is the performance exhaust also included in ZF-1? (it is in Z51 for 2015) Anyone know exactly what the comparison is in terms of features? If I am correct the price difference is $5000 forZ51 VS $1995 for ZF1 but what exactly does that extra 3000 get you? I do know that he Z51 includes performance wheels, tires, wheels, closer gear ratios, bigger brakes, dry sump oiling, etc........... Perhaps my question is really what does $1995 for ZF1 get you?

Zf1 is just 3 things: z51wheels, z51 tires and the z51 spoiler.
End of story |

Well in that case Z51 since it includes the performance exhaust this year is an even better option than last and a much better deal than 2K for appearance stuff only....................let's hope KY is ready to keep up with Z51 orders this time around. .....................

Although some of the periods of Z51 constraints were likely supplier related (the eDiff comes to mind) I wonder if the overall and continuing constraint is fuel economy related. The fuel.gov site does not yet the 2015 C7 but for 2014 lists two: the auto trans and the manual trans versions. Clearly the Z51 with its more aggressive gearing would not produce mpg ratings the same as the non-Z51 and to keep within the rules keeping the mix from too far in the one direction may be one element behind the constraint.

Slightly, but don't overthink it, it's still a nice ride......just a bit firmer....my car is a base car with z51 sized wheels and tires....
