Black exhaust tips - powdercoated?

I'm getting ready to order Stainless Works retro chambered catback quad tip system to replace my NPP. I've seen a few manufacturers offering black tips (Hooker Blackheart for one). What production method are they using to achieve the black? My car is black and I'm considering that look over the polished. Has anyone ever powdercoated polished tips before installation, would they hold up??

The black tips they usually offer are " mirrored" polished black stainless steel. If you powder coat them they will not ever look like the aftermarket ones. The powder coat will eventually wear out from the extreme heat and they will never shine up and will always look dirty from the exhaust for sure.

You are welcome sir. Just don't want you to waste your money on something that won't work out. Spend it on something better.

Placed the order today directly with Stainless Works, now the agonizing 8-12 week production wait.
Highly recommend Chris Schneider, whose contact info I found from an old post in this forum. He knows his product well and answered all my questions over the past several days. Helped me develop a plan around my budget which will allow for the future upgrades I'll do (once I find more money, ha)
