It is made very solid, it is metal and has the stainless inlays. It is a quality made piece, a good bit more expensive compared to most plastic options, wish I could keep it.

I believe the grille dimensions changed in 2014. DJ grilles does not advertise anything other than 2010-2013.
I do not know.
