Yea I was looking at that as well. I watched a build video on you tube on a Vette and they gained about 40rwhp with the E85 setup. With a big cam and all over the 93 tune they had on it. Very interesting..

I picked up 90 whp with my custom grind EPS Blower Cam and Frankenstein Stage 2 heads. 500 whp is hard to get. Do you have stock heads. The Stage 2 heads are good for 25+ whp. So you may be able to just barely get there.

We need to help him set expectation management.

The Dyno graph had a sudden spike that went from 445-450ish to 475. Trying to throw money at heads to get to 500 will need to net 50ish rwhp. Installing new parts and then a new Dyno pull is going to read around 480 and then he will be right back where he thought he started. Dynos can be manipulated easily so I guess they could take his money, give him a 500 reading, and he leaves happy

Yea, needless to say, I won't be seeing that shop again either. Just hard to find trustworthy shops around here. Guess I'll just leave well enough alone as the car runs really good and is quick as hell and fun on the street.. And looks great to boot.. Thanks guys.. Appreciate your help..

Maybe drop 200-300lbs ? Instead of chasing the hp chase the suspension and cars weight.

Oh I thought with that whp you had heads. Oh well youre happy with the car now. And as mention maybe spend the money used for heads on some solid rear cradle bushings and other suspension upgrades.

lol, no, that's why I was inquiring about them. I already have the solid rear cradle bushings and a 1pc DSS aluminum DS.. Haven't done the rest of the suspension yet as she does pretty good as is. No wheel hop or anything since the cradle bushing swap. I did those per acammer's and Jordan at JDP's recomendations.

You need all the extra comp you can. I made great power with an old FED TFS program. I want to hit 600 NA on race gas this year, stock bottom. FED makes hp. But thats my only experience on the subject. Made over 500 on stock casting. Every dyno is different.

I went with aftermarket heads for extra PTV clearance and a big cam, plus, the mid range is better usually. Stock LS3 casting is stout, but the PTV sucks and you need to rev those up if porting is agressive. I did not want to fly cut, so I got TFS and 11.33 CR.

I really like the GMPP ported LS3 heads for a street setup. They really nailed the porting design.

Take your time...

Thanks WHAMMO for that bit of info. I also don't want to be flycutting the pistons either, just not something I can have done as the car is a daily, and don't have anyone I can trust to do it correctly. So that's out.I have time, that's why I asking for info, so I can do it right the first time. Didn't know there was so much to be aware of with a head swap.

A few things to add, on the FED M311s we can build a custom set to match your configuration goals. standard 72cc but can go down to a 68cc to bump compression. Being an aftermarket 6 bolt head is also has an 11* valve angle for better PTV. There's a 3 week turn around time for a custom set. Valvetrain geometry is different from OEM and great Valve control on higher RPMs. Now our OEM porting is also a great option that have helped many break 9s SBE in the past. Can also build to specs/goals. Definitely lots of great options out there.
