This was happening in NY alot. Big van pulls in for gas and blocks cameras then thieves install it. They have a reader in their hotel room to duplicate the card. Now all pumps do use the security tape in my area. Sucks, they'll come up with another scheme soon I'm sure

I was got by a local gas station I believe using similar method. This is why I always run a debit as a credit or pay cash. I may get back into using a credit card with a low limit to help fight this. Got rid of all credit cards while paying off all debt so can be debt free by age 30.
