I got exactly the opposite story when I tried to co-sign for my daughter. I did not want to be on the title, and they said I had to be, by law. As a former banker I gave them the real facts and walked out.

In order to get a great rate, you have to have good enough credit. You either don't have good credit or don't have enough credit history. Adding you to the loan increases the rate. The only alternative is to come up with substantially more down payment.

The bank will not accept your retail contract if you don't fit their criteria. Right now, you don't.

There is always another car. When you buy one, you run the risk that a better one shows up later. This happened to you, and unfortunately there isn't anything the dealership legally has to do about it.

If you don't think you are getting a fair deal, don't sign anything! The worst thing you can do in the whole process is commit to something you don't want to do.

So you have buyers remorse because you took delivery of a car that wasn't everything you wanted, and allowed your co-signer to sign the paperwork at a higher interest rate than was agreed to....BUT now you want to hold the dealer to what was agreed to before the paperwork was signed. Sorry buddy, you are out of luck. Use it as a valuable life lesson on how to conduct any financial transaction.

Give them the car back if possible and next time don't agree to terms you are not satisfied with because once you sign, it's over. I paid cash for mine but still paid close attension to what I was signing on the paperwork (opted out of any extended warranties, paint protection plans) because they are a rip off.

Once the automobile was not going to be under your name...title,plates...etc.

You should have walked away from the deal......period.

It's whomever signed the dotted line..automobile now.

All you can is ask them the "owner" (I know your driving it) to return the car and start the process all over again with another dealer. That will approve you to finance the car with your credit history, and leaving the co-signers at home.

Good luck......this sounds messy.
