looking quickly the structure and drivetrain all look fine... just needs some new bumpers, sheetmetal.

if that happened to me and it was totalled, I'd consider buying the car back if the price was right and fixing it myself (especially if the bags didn't deploy). you'd have a salvage title but you could mod away and have fun!!!!

Friend of mine had his 2010 side swiped on the passenger side from front to rear. $17,000.00 damage and the other person's insurance paid to have it fixed. Your's does not look like a total to me.

What the f$$k has to happen for the air bags to deploy?? Glad your OK but I'm a little concerned that getting damage from both the front and back ends didn't activate the cars safety measures

For the peoole that have concerns over the overall security on this car, let me say that first of all yes I am a little concerned with the aribags not deploying, that was really suprising do to the degree of impact.. but I will also say that this car has a pretty tough body, I mean the front is plastic and of course is getting ripped off, but the rest of the car is really sturdy, you can feel it even when you drive it, but I think that overall the safety issue on the car aint a problem, this car is well made, it will save lives, now the airbags, who knows.... Ill find out something with the bodyshop... ill ask around a bit.. but anyhow, I havent heard anything from insurance yet, is been a day now, ill give it tomorrow, and if theres no call from them, I will call them friday..

I have seen many cars with front end damage not have their air bags go off. It has been explained to me that there are three or more sensors in the front of the car and if at least two do not trip then the airbag will not deploy. This happens in accidents that are not direct on but at a glancing angle.
