Hey guys, maybe someone here knows the answer. I have a 2014 Camaro and am wondering where the passenger air bag deploys from. Does it exit the deck (top of dash), as in where the "Air Bag" logo is placed, or does it exit the front of the dash, where the vinyl insert is? I am looking to add some flare to the front of the dash on the vinyl, but don't want to create a hazard.

I have pretty much exhausted Google images trying to find out where the airbag actually deploys from. I'm pretty sure someone out there has seen this. Any ideas on where else to look?

Yeah me too. Was wanting to add old school dash emblem but didn't want to create projectile in case it comes right out behind dash trim!!

Here's a crash test video showing airbag deployments. It kind of looks like it pops out the top then goes forward.

looks like it deploys from the top of the dash... call that a top mount.

so yea you can add some bling below the dash.

Well then, that's a crappy picture on SI. Obviously it comes out the top.
