Is this a good deal for a Zl1? One new, one used
Both manuals in SoCal.
'17 ZL1-2392 mi, $53,900 at a private dealership that sells high end sports cars and luxury cars. This ZL1 is one of the lowest priced cars there. Clean carfax. Says it was a "Corporate Vehicle" so guessing a manager drove it or something. Unless they had a ZL1 for test drives/loaner....doubt it. '18 ZL1-new, $61k (MSRP 64,895). If I can get the new one for that price or a bit lower, would seem that would be the better option. Although could probably get the '17 for closer to $50K. Those are the best deals I've found with 200 mi or so. Decent prices? Last edited by cbr1100xx; 10-12-2018 at 05:19 PM. |

Actually I'm thinking of foregoing the ZL1 and going for an SS 1LE instead. I just want a lighter car...even if it is slower.

A used Z will still cost me $13k minimum over a new LE ($40k w/discounts. Unless I get one with more miles and it will still be a $10k difference. I know the Z is a beast but it’s also 3900lbs with all that extra weight under the hood.

If you're already coming from a 6th gen 1SS, the SS 1LE is NOT worth trading up for. The only thing worth a trade at this point is the ZL1. After owning mine I couldn't even imagine not having it. It is that good of a car. Don't play yourself. The SS 1LE does not offer enough over the SS to make it worth a trade up.
