Hibernation

Our neighbors to the south take for granted their ability to drive their prized Camaro in ideal weather year round.Meanwhile myself and many others to the north must wait out the grueling hibernation period while the roads get salted more than cheap steak at a buffet, and snow blots out the landscape. I know that many drive their Camaro's year round with a hearty set of snow tires (and I salute you), but I have chosen not to do this mostly because I've seen what salt can do to a vehicle, and also because accidents around here are much higher in the winter month's. Right now my winter vehicle I'm driving is a 2001 Pontiac Aztec, Big difference from the Camaro, but it's a good feeling knowing she is being kept out of the brutal winter conditions in a garage. To everyone else in the same boat, what's your winter vehicle?

2012 Malibou. Not the Camaro as you say but I am so happy she is tucked away. Having said that, as I look out my window right now I am wondering if I should go out and rake the grass and clean up some debris from the trees. This is a different (don't get me wrong, no complaints here), winter.

My winter vehicle is my 1995 Jeep Wrangler 4.0. This is also my plow vehicle.

It was almost 50 here in Michigan yesterday but the snow is coming back. My ZL1 is tucked in the warm workshop getting all shined up for the spring. So my winter ride is a old 1994 Chevy blazer (for plowing) and the wife's AWD CTS (for going to nice places). Wish we could make it down to Texas or Florida this year but have a daughter's wedding to do.

I bought mine to be a DD, and that's what it is for now. Only one more winter to go before we move west and two more years before it's paid for and becomes a part-time garage queen.

No Thank You. I'll stay right here in the center of New York State. You can have your floods, forest, fires, tornado, hurricanes.

Mine is covered in the barn but I'll take it out any day that there isn't wet salt on the roads. Just picked up a little ford Ranger FX4 so I could keep the salt off the Camaro. Still not sure if I'm going to trade up when the 6th Gen 1LE comes out but I decided to keep it as rust free as possible.

LOL it is.Here in Minnesota the last two winters have been fairly mild with higher than normal temps, in comparison to what we normally see. there is snow on the ground but nothing like we normally would have this time of year.

Nice, I'm imagining your mentioning a CTS-V :thumb up:, that would be a nice replacement for the winter months. It's been pretty warm here also, 30's for this time of year over here is damn near short weather.
