Battery tender and battery charger recommendations! Please step in!

Hi team, I'm a weekend warrior and I try to drive my car every weekend but sometimes I can't. I purchased the car new in April and put 3700 miles on it. Since then i had my battery die twice and I know I need a battery tender and perhaps a battery charger. What do you all recommend for tenders and battery chargers? For the ones who are storing their cars for the winter, what are you using? Thanks in advance and happy holidays!

Where do you hook up a battery tender, under the hood or in the trunk?

Thanks for asking that. So you use battery tender jr under the hood and no issues with start up?

Nope car sat for about 5 weeks at a time in deep Canadian winter. GF's car sat about 5 months never started once. Hers is a Benz SLK 280 roared right to life... I don't think it is sufficient for use on dead batteries but to keep them floating at optimum no problem. I could be wrong about that part as I never tried...

It doesn't take much to keep the battery topped up really.

I used the Battery Tender JR last winter. Car was stored for 6 months. Started like a charm. Lights on the power unit tell what charge mode it's in. I hook mine straight to the battery, pull the drain plug next to the battery and run wires out under car and plug in. Cover her up and done

So what the HELL is California problem with a battery tender?

So can some one from another state sell you one? You wouldn't be buying it in California or from someone in California.

Just bought one!

If your battery is going dead I would think you would want to find out why.

I took it to a dealer and tested it out and all is good with the battery. I know the advisor well so he would warranty that bad boy without blinking. I just let it sit too long without driving it. No doubt I'll try to drive it more often. I had this same problem when i had my other camaro. So that's why I'm trying to go the tender route.
