"The right tool for the right job" applies to using the right vehicle for hauling stuff. No way those mattresses made it home unless he drove 5 mph all the way.

And BlkCamaroVert: "I was with a friend so we were shooting the bull and not paying attention. When I got home the door was gone". Are you sh*tting me? So, theoretically, the door could have flown off your roof, gone through the windshield of a car behind you, and killed the driver... and you would have had no clue. Soooooo many idiots out there.

Some jackass did this a few years back near my home. The mattresses blew off, a multiple car pile up ensued and several people died while trapped in their burning vehicle. You don't buy a ratchet to drive a nail! "I typically haul a lot of stuff, my wife and I have three kids and I only have enough money for one vehicle...where are the Camaros?".

Amen! If it doesn't fit in the trunk (and I don't fold down the rear seat), then whatever it is will wait until I get home and come back with the pickup truck. I hate driving near people who have their bedroom strapped to the top of their car (or those jokers who are towing a car with rope).

Nothing wrong with towing a car with a rope to get home as long as the guys doing it don't also think strapping furniture to the roof of a car is ok.

But hey, people complain about the redneck stereotype of the Camaro. Rednecks have pickemups to put their crap in, so I'm pretty sure there aren't any in these anecdotes. Chalk one up to the urbanites.

Brought home a mattress just sticking up in the back seat when I had a vert..... no tie downs required....lol just sandwich the back of the front seat into the mattress and then go back until it holds the mattress..... Not a queen size though...lol

And yes 2x12s can fit in a Camaro coupe....lol right on top of the console!!! But I would never do the things I did on non local surface streets, as collectors or highways the speed limit being higher and not wanting to be a safety hazard, or appear that stupid..... A few blocks is one thing, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do....

I was wondering if I was the only one thinking that. I have a pick up truck but I still pay the 50$-100$ delivery charge for a mattress delivery, anything bigger then a twin bed doesn't fit. I am sure if you look a little you can find it on line with free delivery.

Amen, I know too many people that will tear up their expensive vehicles or throw out their back to save a $50 or $100 delivery fee. Makes no sense.

No need to spend $100 when you can rent a Home Depot truck for $20/hr (you do have to get all your ducks in a row first).

Was heading up north a couple of months ago and passed a Camaro with a two bikes on the roof on a rack and pulling a trailer with 4 kayaks on it.
