Aftermarket 1LE Aero

Hello all,

New to the forums - I've had my ZL1 (non-1LE) A10 for a year now and went to my first track event last week. Looking to do more and even considered trading up to a 1LE but the depreciation/price difference was just too much so soon.

With that said, I'm considering doing a few mods for track performance and came across 1LE Aero kits.

https://wildhammermotorsports.com/ca...ge-zl1-addons/

https://extremeonlinestore.com/colle...=5670298058783

Are these mostly cosmetic in nature, or do they provide similar downforce/benefits as the 1LE does? Is it worth it or just for show?

Thanks!

mostly cosmetic if you have a real zl1 and want to do the 1le aero kit you can but i would go oem parts only as they are track proven

btw come track with us 5/5 at fontana with speedventures!

That's kind of what I figured. The only reason I was considering the ZL1 Addons was ease of install. Looks like the OEM parts require a lot more modification to the front bumper... and the wing is $5k

I wish I could! But I'm in Louisiana and that's a bit of a haul for me! Thanks for the offer though.

What part of Louisiana? ZL1s are not common (maybe not rare but surely not common) in my part of the state (Lafayette).

nobody knows if it is just cosmetic or not unless you are willing to put the parts on and put it in a wind tunnel for professional review and data. I am not a fan of the front dive planes wild hammer has. in person they look cheap and I do not like the mounting at the top of the winglet. The wing however looks nice in person and seems like a very spot on replica (minus the carbon of course). The OEM 1LE fog light housing and dive plane aren't crazy priced through GM....just a thought

Do you fly airplanes on YouTube?

If you're looking for track aero, I'd suggest APR. Cheaper than OEM 1LE, and much more effective.

Wow. That does look good. Are the dive planes require cutting into the bumper? That's the issue I have with OEM. I don't want to permanently mod the bumper or cut into the XPEL I just had done.

Yeah, I've watched some of your vids, very cool!

The dive planes do require you to cut into the bumper. On the 2018+ ZL1s, the cut out locations are already marked on the inside of the bumper.
