Windshield tint advice

Finally got my rear and side windows tinted and boy does it look nice went 20%
Wondering if having any amount on the windshield besides factory is annoying esp on the track ?

I had 50% on my windshield, and 5% everywhere else on a 2 door Tahoe back in the day (BRING THOSE BACK GM!!!). Actually didn't like it. It really did effect visability at night, especially in dark areas. There was more than 1 occasion where I saw a pedestrian trying to cross a street rather late due to the tint. Won't run it again on the windshield, or 5 on my doors.

I've got 35% on my windshield and it's not bad to me, but then again maybe I'm used to it. IT does somewhat effect night vision, but I figured that's why they make headlights.

Tint on the windshield is just as stupid as tinting tail lights.

I like the way it looks when it matches a bit darker but I feel that it might affect track reaction time

I think NC allows 6 inch covering from the roof down.(i'm sure it has to be no more than 35%) Rear window and back windows can be painted black as far as inspections go. Pretty sure they only check driver and passenger window along with the windshield.

You can buy the street legal smoked tail lights from GM also.

I was almost certain that windshield tint was illegal? I guess I'm wrong?

Very common practice to tint entire windshield in something like Air80. There is almost no tint to it and it helps immensely with heat rejection if the rest of your windows are tinted. I do it on every car I have. It also eliminates the sun baking your plastic interior to pieces. It will be illegal in most states, but if done right it is almost impossible to tell that it has been applied to the windshield.

I had thought about getting my windshield tinted when i did the rest of the car, but i am glad i didn't as i had to replace the windshield from a stone hitting it with less than 2000 miles on the car.
