I know you miss me guys ..... few questions
Well the vette forums are full of lots of non track guys ! Still breaking in my GS would you guys recommend motul dexose 2 ? Seems most just use th good ole Mobil 1 on vette forums , Gonna do SRF for brakes and replace rear axl fluid .... I feel the GS misses the performance supplement that the 1le has ! Dying to get out there soon see you guys on track !

Yes it does:
"For track events or competitive driving, use Mobil 1® 15W-50 engine oil. An instrument cluster warning light will be illuminated at high oil temperatures." on page 235 of the '17 owners manual. But you said you're still breaking it in? If so, you shouldn't be pushing it on the track; so stick with the 5W30 Dexos 1. Any brand that meets the requirement will do. Mobil 1 is very popular with Corvette people because I believe it was advertised as factory fill...that sort of caught on. |

Corvette Forum is FULL of folks that track their cars. You just need to find the right section and post your questions there. And I'd suggest you start with reading your owner's manual

Define "great success"?
Note the motors are very similar, but not the oil delivery systems. I am pretty sure GM would update the manual if they though a different oil would prevent them from incurring costs of blown engine replacements...don't you? |

But seriously, read up on your GS oiling system (aka dry sump) in your owners manual, so you know what you're dealing with. All the best! |
