Wrote a check for $5,000 and drove it off the lot.

Just paid it off a few weeks ago and bought the new SRT daily driver for the wife.

I also have 0% interest so there is no reason to pay it off. Free money plus I was upside down on the car I traded in (actually I was upside down on the car that I traded in for that). So why pay it off? Lowered the payment that I was paying and got the exact car I wanted.

Only had mine for about a year and a half, so I'm still plugging along on payments...

I was blessed to be able to pay it off three days after it was built. Biggest check I ever wrote. It hurt a little

Side Note: I was unaware that the warranty was going to start the day I paid for it. It began on May 29th. The car wasn't even in the states yet! I didn't get the car until June 9th. The dealer fudged the mileage (since they didn't know what it was). I learned never to do that again.

Bought mine last April, will have it paid off in January.

Working on minimizing the number of payments we have, by April we won't have any debt payments except for the house. After the Camaro is done, then it is my wife's car to be paid off.

My dad bought a 1973 Camaro off the showroom floor. It had a rattle in the back the dealer didn't fix after two visits. He took it to the mechanic who worked on our trucks. He tightened up a rear shock. Took him 2 minutes.

Never, ever, buy a car without a test drive. Make them fix any issues before you sign.

I was able to pay off my car with my severance after I got laid off. Now I'm still out of work 5 months later but I (thank god) don't have a car payment or I probably would've lost it to the repo man by now.
