Darkening the flags
Knowing the forums, I am ready for the "I don't like it" posts coming...I happen to like it, in that my whole car is "darkened" - not murdered. This is great way to "dim" the flags if that's all you are running that is left of the chrome. The Product is Plastidip "Smoke" and lets the colors come thru. 3 coats and then it peels away from the edges like magic..enjoy….If you don't like it, it peels off in a few seconds.....
Tape off, 3 coats, 20 min apart, then peel an edge and it all comes off except the badge...neat and clean 3 coats - getting there 2 more coats and I've got the gray tint I want: smoke

I wouldn't personally do it but hey it's your car do with it what you wish. It came out great though, the stuff looks interesting.
What about blacking out the chrome surrounding the emblem? I feel like the brighter logo and reds and gold may really pop with the contrast. Either way good to see you not afraid to change it up.

absolute possible and I may try that, just requires a exact tape job with a razor blade...take the tape off quickly as soon as 3rd coat goes on...maybe I'll do that on the back...but from 10 feet away it gives the flags a "sterling look"...nice on the cyber gray...

Nice work, Glen. It kind of gives it that "Lo-Vis" look.
