It didn't sound ricer at all to me. If anything, I agree with the guy that said that is sounded kinda European. In fact, it sounds almost exactly like my friends BMW 5 series V8 with Dinan exhaust.

Something tells me they completely understand...hehe

As for the rednecks saying this car sounds "ricey", seriously just give it up and go gel your mullets.

For those who say it doesn't sound like a V8, well it isn't supposed to.

Why try and make something that it isn't?

I for one have had GM vehicles with the 3800 V6, 3100 V6, and now my Trailblazer with the 4.2 I6. Having owned several LT1 cars, LS1, and Small Bloc V8 vehicles the 6 cylinders just didn't put out enough noise for me. I had put exhaust on all of them, and the sounds they made just don't sound good for a even a V6, nothing like 350z, G35 or BMW 6 cylinders sound like, and those IMO are the only good sounding 6 cylinders as they are so smooth sounding. My cars always sounded deep but they were neither V8 or sporty V6 sounding. And no offense to anyone, but the 4300 V6 in the blazers, s-10's etc.. sounds horrible with exhaust, it's just not a refined sound at all, but that is just my opinion. With my Trailblazer having an Inline 6 the sound is better than most GM 6 cylinders I have owned, but it still isn't great by ANY means.

With this 3.6 DI V6, GM has designed an amazing motor, and finally one that can sound good as well. So once again I think the sound of the V6 camaro is great for a V6.

Still will be getting a SS, as I love nothing more than the sound of a V8, but I gotta give props and say that this is a great SOUNDING 6 cylinder!!!
