2019 SS CCM Low Side Fuel Pressure Erratic

Has anyone seen this and found a fix? In the process of tuning 93 will be moving on to E85 soon.

Low side fuel pressure either reads or it doesn’t. MPVI2 HP tuners. It’ll read sometimes and be spot on but 80% of the time it just reads zero. I talked to Ted who is tuning the car and he has seen it before, believes it is a HP Tuners PID issue.

Concerns me moving to E85 as that’s a leading indicator before high side drops. All I have reliably now is high side pressure.

It did the same thing when I was tuning for bolt ons with GPI a year ago, but fuel wasn’t a concern then.

I actually replaced the low side pressure sensor when I installed the LT4 pump with a new AC Delco unit. No difference. Which makes sense because if it wasn’t reading I’m sure I’d get a code. So I don’t believe it’s a sensor issue.

I’ve tried logging without the wideband in the middle (HP tuners directly in OBD2) and no difference.

I’m about to throw a sensor on after the flex fuel and try to data log that way, but would prob require HP Tuners Pro which I don’t have to bring additional analog or CAN inputs.

Anyone else seen this or have a resolution?

Well I may have fixed it. My firmware on the MPVI2 had an update and there was an update to the VCM suite. I bought the MPVI2 when it first came out. Hasn’t been updated since. Plugged in and with ign on seems to be reading fine. I’m sure I’ll have a tune update this morning I’ll data log later today and see if the issue is resolved. If so I’ll leave this here for folks that may have the same issue with older firmware. “crosses fingers”

Mine does the exact same thing. So I watch high fuel rail pressure. When it drops for sure out of fuel

The problem with that is you can be running out of high side and still have good low side pressure...and vice versa. So you ideally need to be able to log both.

Hopefully this firmware update fixes it. I had to run out of town for work so won’t get a chance to log until this weekend.

Didn’t fix it. Bummer. Got lucky and it decided to read through 1/2 a 2-5k pull. Looks good should be fine on E60.

I probably won’t go any higher then E60 until I can put in an external inline analog sensor so I can read it accurately.

So weird. Is it just 19s or do 20+ seem to have this problem as well?
