I can't believe it's a 1,025 hp V8 in this day and age, street legal, and full warranty. Only hypercars have crested the 1,000 hp mark with ICE. Pretty awesome - it's too bad it's an ICE swan song. And I like that it still makes 900 hp on pump gas. It was lame that they didn't display the time when they demonstrated the drag at the reveal in Vegas. We know it probably wouldn't have replicated the 8.9 @ 151 mph in Vegas at a high-altitude track, but come on, let's see what it did! I also like that it's not on true skinnies on the front; 245 width is narrow, but doable on the street. Also, Dodge could have charged way more than $96,666 (plus destination and gas guzzler pushing it over $100k), and sold out fast. Props to them for not taking advantage of the consumer.

Gotta give credit to Dodge, I am sure it will be super rare to see it ever hit those numbers on a track but 1025HP car from the factory as a send off what a send off

We used to go to Lion's practically every weekend. I got to see all the big names and pioneers of the Golden Age of drag racing in the sixties at Lions. We always knew when the Hemis fired. There was nothing else like them.

Over 1,000 HP. Man, so cool. What a send off. Too bad there is going to be a send off at all. No electric in the near-ish future will replicate the feel and excitement of a powerful ICE engine. The sound alone is enough to fuel the soul, even though the electric car may be faster from stop light to stop light.

Yeah...the retail price almost seems "low" in my head lol. But I don't think these cars are actually going to sell anywhere near MSRP.
