Watch his driving video. You can't convince me that those high-speed downshifts are ok. Especially if that was the break-in oil. Brakes are much cheaper! Though GM thought enough to fix it rather than suffer any negative press.

Yes sir, aggreed. Listening to his shifting it sounds like a couple miss timed shifts up and down on HIS part might have done it. Just wasn't what I would have done for sure.

seriously? i thought those automatic's "shift request" buttons wouldn't allow tomfoolery that'd be likely to cause damage.

We connected to the car's ECU to show us the RPM and Manner of shifts inconsistent with normal usage, therefore we (GM) deny your warranty claim..

just like when the R35 GT-Rs came with a "launch mode" that maintained a permanent log of each date/time you activated it - and they promptly denied any powertrain warranty claims that invariably ensued (including the $20k transmission that self-destructed after 3-4 launches).

Flat plane cranks are notorious for bad vibes and I got bad vibes when I heard GM was stupid enough to use one on a production car.

Best to run the piss out of it under warranty then get rid of it after 3 years or so.

Why can't they just Supercharge it like they did with the C6 and C7?
