I'll 'invest' my money at the roulette wheel before I buy a cryptocurrency: its less of a gamble.

It still is very volatile. At this stage it isn't something I would invest in. Wait until the bottom drops out of it again then buy it.

I've mined Litecoin and Vertcoin since they're script-based. I have a tiny ASIC card running an LTC miner, but i've stopped recently to focus more on trading.
Ethereum at the moment but I may change due to ASIC's now coming out for it soon.

My son has money in a few, not sure which ones because he keeps buying and selling. He has made far more than his initial investment, so being wise like you, took that out and rolling with his profits.

Wants me to buy into some, but being a person to research everything to death, there is no way I can keep up with how fast it is all moving.....makes me feel kind of old.

Made a few K off Litecoin and Ripple, removed my initial investment and now just holding them until hopefully they take off again.

Seams like day trading back some years ago and penny stocks. Some people make money but many lost. Being that its all made up stuff there is too much chance of scamming/manipulation.

These get rich things come up every few years then fade away. Once they become well known they have passed their prime, Like was said before a pyramid.

Saw this thread, mining back on my original bitcoin rigs from 2011/2013. Now not making much, lost all my stuff during the 50btc hack. Though still turning quite a few hundred a month still. All I've seen is a continued rise of the coin and I don't see it going away soon. Could be wrong, but I've heard the "it'll die" comments many times only to see the price drop and then soar.

That play money helped put a new ZL1 in my driveway. So, yeah - I'll keep playing!

Looks like the annual January sell-off is starting to shake off as we've had some decent movement back up over the last week or so. I'm expecting a good March and am really looking forward to more widespread adoption this year.
