Wow, so to order a 50th anniversary, they are requiring the Convenience and Lighting package, really? Isn't that a $2800 package? I'm extremely sad now as Chevrolet is forcing me out of the Camaro family.

Not to defend Chevrolet, but my memory of these Anniversary packages, whether Corvette or Camaro, is this kind of requirement is normal. On the other hand not being a fan of them it is possible I am off base and if I am I trust someone will step forward with a more accurate summary.

Interesting, is that when dealers get their allocations? So Thursday AM they will know how many they can order?

This Shop with the ability to browse, select and install apps to your vehicle. Apps include Pandora, iHeartRadio, The Weather Channel and more just appeared in the order guide. Does Shop mean the 2017 can activate iHearRadio and the Weather Channel without needing a dealer update?
Dealers are told on Thursday the number of allocations they may use for that cycle as well as any constraints that apply to that cycle. Laborsmith |

It lloks like the Order Guide will be revised Monday the 25th, and two of the revisions are to the exterior color choices:
•Color and Trim section-(GB8) Mosaic Black Metallic, removed footnote 4. •Color and Trim section-(GD1) Hyper Blue Metallic, applied footnote 4 which reads "Extra cost." Laborsmith |

Is it confirmed that the "Blue Velvet" is not available for 2017? And can I still order a 2016? A dealer is telling me they still have order options for 2016, is he lying or misinformed?

Allocations are either used by the dealer, or if reused awarded to another dealer, or pass out of existence. All 2016 Camaro allocations have reached that fate. There are none left to be used and at this point in time I doubt there is a used allocation that could be pulled back and modified.
