I said if they really wanna argue about a backseat then they should have bought a challenger. It's faster and has more room. Of course that got no response because it complety killed the argument they used against the camaro. When "car guys" argue over backseats and ergonomics is a clear indication that the car they love got whooped in every performance metric is was tested in and they have nothing else to fall back on.

The majority of us are car enthusiasts and performance metrics probably matter more to us than anyone else, but they are not the sole reason these cars are sold. There are plenty of "car guys" who do consider everything you just mentioned, I would be one of them. I would choose a car with the better exterior/interior layout over performance metrics any day. To say those do not matter is dumb. It's obviously one of the reasons why the mustang has sold so much since its refresh. It didn't gain much in the performance category so it must have improved somewhere else right?

I know a few years ago this kind of talk would have most likely been laughed at, but times are changing. It's interesting how things change.

It all comes down to user preference. Honestly, to me...looks are probably #1. In my eyes...the 5th and 6th gen just do it for me. I'm just lucky that I think the Camaro is the better looking car, and at this time, also performs better.

Kay, this is just as bad as the fanboy crap over on M6G.

Keep looks out of it. Looks are purely subjective.

Second and forth gen, yes. But not the rest...don't become a fan boy.

So true. Both are very similar cars (long hood, short deck, rear wheel drive). Have a preference... I totally get brand loyalty...but why hate the alternative?

I'm trying real hard not to go over to the "VS" thread on Mustang6g.com. Couldn't resist..One of their members recently posted a review of the 2016 Camaro RS V6 comparing it to his Mustang EB PP. Seemed like a very un-biased review...Although he does state that the Camaro V6 is "slow" . Click on the link and read for yourselves...

Pretty easy to see that 0 - 60 and 1/4 mile, the Camaro V6 is faster than the EB. The EB may have a better initial low end punch, making it feel stouter, but the Camaro V6 will keep pulling smother and longer and it will overtake the stock EB everytime

But this guy has a tuned and bolt on EB making around 400TQ. His butt-o-meter is likely a bit off. Pretty sure he is also a member here.

They still seem to think the SS and GT are a drivers race

Does the ecoboost sound anything close to this?

I'm going to venture a guess at NO.

Day to day driving the camaro v6 is going to be far better than any turbo 4. Anyone modding shoulda bought a V8. End of story.

Good to see both forums have a nice selection of fanboys. The SS is definitely faster and any Mustang owner disagreeing with this is simply wrong.

Cheers from the other side of the street, gentlemen

Regards,

Current Mustang guy

P.S. Someone stole "ssyellow" on here, a name I have used on every forum for the past 7 years
