Thanks! I gotta ask, what do you do about tape residue? I guess the heat ended up getting to it a bit and it was a pain to get off. I didn't want to strip any protecting products, but I guess just take the adhesive remover to it before putting any sealants or waxes?

Never had a problem with 3M Blue Tape.

I use the green 3m automotive tape. Before applying it I stick and unstick it on my jeans a few times. Then apply. I still get residue but it's very manageable.

Before I used the above method, I had the blue tape which leaves a ton of residue in my opinion so I would finish polishing the entire car, take off the tape and lightly polish the tape residue away.

Either way works.
