Fixing the poor paint finish and body issues.
As a lot of new owners have mentioned, the paint finish leaves a lot to be desired. It has lots of orange peel in it, not bad I guess for a factory mass production job but I guess we all expect more. GM doesn't put a lot of clearcoat on it as well so its almost impossible to color sand it out without burning thru it.
While the factory white looks amazing in person I wanted something unique, I wanted it to stand out. HRE wheels is going to display it at SEMA this year so I decided to do a custom mixed color. Here are some pics taken at Piccione Performance & Custom Paint. The Dis assembly begins, they took a lot of care and took it apart in their showroom and cataloged all the parts.

Pics of them repairing that spot where the 3rd brake lamp, bumper and spoiler come together. It wont have that gap anymore.

This color looks amazing in person, the pics don't do any justice to it. In regular lighting from a few feet away it looks like a really elegant metallic white, but when the sun hits it or bright fluorescent lighting hits it, it just pops right out at you and seems to slightly change color depending on the angle you look at it, it looks really rich.
The finish is perfection, perfectly flat, no orange peel, waves nothing, just a lot of depth. It is absolutely amazing at the quality. They are finishing final assembly now, will post more pics soon.

damn nice... and that is a really professional paint shop there.. stripped car down for perfection paint job..
had to cost a ton..

That is ridiculously awesome. Great paint job, fantastic color choice. I love getting to see what's under the skin of the new Vette. It reminds me of Batman's Tumbler with the body panels off. Where will this car be displayed at SEMA?

I'm not sure what those pair of vertical rods are w/ blue tips... but I heard the GPS Navigation and Onstar antenna(?) is somewhere here in the rear bumper area.... have you seen it? If yes, please post a close up pic. Thanks in advance.
