Dent Repair Kit Recommendation
I now have matching dents on both rear quarter panels. Not sure how they got there. Dent on passenger side right below the gas cap was there when I bought the vehicle but after a night out I somehow got a matching dent on the drivers side. What kit will do the best at minor dent repair?

Performing PDR (Paintless Dent Repair) is way more challenging than it looks. I attempted it once, only added more dents. Never again. I would recommend a professional PDR person. I have one that I use and they are great. They come to me and remove dents easily. It costs about $100-$125 for one or two small dents and they do it in about 10 minutes. But well worth it. Dents are gone, never knew they were there.

there is a PDR man located in the daytona flea market.the man is an artist, had a nice ding in my fender that he removed.contact info is:wayne walker 386-451-5364.if you buy a dent kit you will only manage to create more dents, put the money towards actually getting them fixed.its only a little more than an hour from jaxonville.that ding in my fender pissed me off for a year.for 50 bucks and in an hour it was gone.

Had a guy come take out 3 dents out of the camaro (coincidently all on the side my wife parks on in the garage) and he charged me $75 total. Took him about 20 mins and you can't even tell they were there. Don't mess with it yourself

Go on youtube and watch a video or two of guys being trained in PDR. As others have said there is much more to this than a good tool kit.
Rest assured, Brad, this is 100% coincidence! |

Thanks for the advise all. That is exactly what I needed to know. Will search for someone local and if that fails will check out that Daytona flea market.

Haven't used one in years, but there are a few shops in jax, as well as a number of mobile people I've seen at dealership body shops. Just don't have one to personally recommend right now. Mobile guy I used years ago was a former body shop instructor from Ponte Vedra.

Looks easy to pop out, easy backside access if this is front.
There are also machines that use heat, vibration, & magnetic pull, as well as glue front side pulling these days. There is/ was ? a shop on Atlantic near 9a, & one on st johns bluff. Seen one ambulance converted to pdr vehicle . Noticed Coggin body shop on mill creek among others looking like they call in someone for pdr. Seeing who they use would be a safe choice, but any recommended experienced person should handle yours properly. |
