VIN vs BUILD DATE
Hi Becky
Can you (or anyone else) tell us whether the VIN's are assigned sequentially as the vehicles come down the line, or do other factors come into play which can cause the cars not to be produced in numerical order? I monitor a thread on another Corvette forum that has a few posts where buyers opted for the photo album available through the NCM, and posted photos on their cars at the end of the line. Cars that were built March 7th have a higher VIN, by a couple hundred, than mine and my build date was allegedly the 8th or 9th?? Thanks! |
