What Does This Tell Us?
People prefer more power in their Muscle Car than a brilliant chassis design. The antiquated design wins?? Apparently if it has more power even if it can’t put it to the ground.

Meh. Challengers and Mustangs are god damn everywhere. Camaros are a lot more rare and I’m ok with that.

Aggressive advertising including using social media.
Aggressive discounts including the Power Days or Dollar Days (or whatever it's called) sales event with discounts like $10 per HP including Hellcats, Durangos, etc. Aggressive strategies offering trucks at comparably low prices to get people in the door where they see Challys on the sales floor...it's a powerful motivator for customers to return. I leased a brand new Ram 1500 for much less than the competition offered. Aggressive commercials with heart pumping theatrics including burnouts, enthusiastic city driving...gets the adrenaline flowing. Tons of options without having to add on option groups and packages like you have to do with Mustangs. 301a, 401a, PP, PP1, Pony Package, yada yada. Dodge simplified the process of adding options. And many other reasons. Dodge has slowly crept up over years of fine tuning and making improvements. This was bound to happen sooner or later. |

I think people like the look, the physical size and yes, the power.
I agree with you though…I’d rather have a great chassis than the power. I stepped away from a ZL1, but not a Camaro (waiting for allocation now). So, handling is much more important to me than brute force (although, power isn’t bad either) |

This is one of Dodges milder ads...but at least they advertise. No wonder Ford is losing sales...and Chevy is just pathetic with their soccer mom weak ass ads.

The same thing that all the shopping carts left in the parking lot tell us or the obesity rates in the US.
People are lazy and want quick thrills on a platter. EV cars can't come soon enough for them.

Even their freaking electric muscle car ad is good, and this is coming from someone who tends to see notebook screens on wheels less than exciting, no matter their 0-60.

And credit where credit is due, Dodge is who created this modern muscle car renaissance. And the fact that they have put the Hellcat engine in nearly everything is pretty awesome. I would love to see a Hellcat version of the Pacifica mininvan. |

Our resident Dodge owner will be happy with this thread but, for some reason he still misses his Camaro, go figure.
