GM fixed this issue with the 2019 so I don't need it anymore...
Not on my 19. Mine don’t decline nearly as much as that.

No, not like taking the pin out but definitely fixed the problem with the 17 and 18 barely going back an inch or two. I almost never go full recline on this car now.

Very 1st thing I noticed going from a 17 to a 19.

Really eh????
Sometimes i wish mine reclined more. My little guy falls asleep in the car a lot. Wish the seat reclined more so his head and neck weren’t so contorted.

2019 ZLE... Minimal recline until I did the mod today!

It's glorious! I was so excited to see this post.

Drilling these pins is not for the faint of heart. I have an excellent corded drill, but really cheap drill bits. Went through pretty much all of them! Ended up using a Christmas Tree bit. Final hole size was about 15/32. Then got in there with a Dremel to clean things up.

Sleeping is a whole different type of recline

Try sitting in a 17 or 18 and you will really be frustrated. Trust me there is quite a difference.

I met up with Al O right after picking up my car and when I mentioned the recline I got a big smile and thumbs up on the change.
