Look at the CTS-V if your looking for room and performance. I'm ordering one next summer because my kids are getting bigger and already complain about sitting in the back of my gen 5 ZL1.

Well, our summers do suck but it rarely gets below freezing down here, so I guess there is a plus when it comes to year round driving time I'll get. |

Koons Tyson in VA has a black on black RTE that will be delivered by January, plus two Phase 1 allocations (that is, if nawamba didn't snap one up already )

When demand exceeds the supply, somebody has to go without. Most of the ZL1s that would get sold in the north during the winter would get parked until spring anyways. But every car that goes to a dealership in the north is one car that doesn't get sent south -where it could be driven & enjoyed. Personally, I wouldn't even bother trying to order such a car from between the beginning of October & the end of February. Sure, I could get winter rims and snow tires for my brand new car ... but that doesn't keep it safe from salt & crap every time its driven.

Thanks friend, they said they are almost certain they will go for ADM, but have my number if they have more details on price.

You have to call around to the dealers and ask them on an individual basis. Only a dealer and his/her GM Rep will know how many allocations (if any) that particular dealer has. In my experience not everyone on staff at a given dealer will even know what you're talking about. If you want to cut to the chase, ask for the person who handles Workbench orders, and/or a Corvette / Camaro specialist.
Don't put down any money until you get an 1100 SRE Workbench order and a commitment from the dealer to submit to GM before the next DOSP runs on Nov. 3rd. I personally encountered two different dealers who played games with me over this allocation business before finding one who made such a commitment. Most of us aren't so lucky as to have a dealer we've known for years that we can automatically trust without question.

As far as only the south getting ZL1 allocation in the winter months..... that is a total crap story!
It is solely based on prior 6-12 months of Camaro sales.... If a high volume dealer did not have a high amount of Camaro sales, they will not get allocation...... This is the bottom line..... If you think I am wrong, ask Becky......... She gets allocation because of her high volume sales of Camaros......

Castle Chevrolet of Villa Park. They have gotten additional allocations and sold them already...they have a wait list now. My advice would be start calling dealers in concentric circles around you or wherever you're willing to travel.

Unless you want a White ZL1...Castle does have one unsold and set for TPW 10/17. I can PM you my salesman's info if you're interested.
