I know the feeling! I may not have a manual as I always thought I would, but when I kick over the engine and hear that healthy cammed V8 rumble through my long tube headers and bare minimum muffling it just makes me feel like a kid listening to cars go by at car shows. Feeling the cams thump in my chest as they went on by. Gotta love a nostalgic muscle car with a V8!

As for your flux capacitor, keep checking here for when they’re back in stock

I get the same feeling with my Camaro. It doesn't have to be a "V8" either. When I'm cruising along, just slightly uphill to put a load on the engine, I hear and feel a rumble from the LFX when in a lower gear. Even the exhaust sounds good. It always puts a smile on my face.

Then, when I'm driving around normally, the ultra smooth and refined feeling of the 7k rpm redline of the DOHC engine reminds me of a modern car. It's this split personality that I love so much. With the manual transmission, you can tap into both at will.

Great thread! I love my car and it still feels like new! Unless I go on a long drive I rather listen to the engine/exhaust while rowing through the gears

I know what you mean. I have had eight cars since I was 16 (now 44) and my Camaro is the only one that I am still in love with after five years of ownership. I actually look forward going to work on Monday so I can drive it because on weekends/long trips, we always take my wife's SUV because of the room and car seats.

I def agree with you on this. I still can't believe I'm in my Dream car till this day, Its everything i expected and more. Especially being 23, I just feel so fortuante to even say I'm a owner of one.

Yep, I'm with you there. It is so exhilarating to just punch it. At least once every time I drive it even if it is just 0-45.

Yup, still in love with mine after nine years. Storing for the winter helps because when I take her out she feels like a brand new car.

Agreed! I am always surprised when I take the first rip in it after winter storage how fast the car is again. I had it out last Friday for the first time since early November & found some back roads to set it free! Was a hoot.

This is so true. After driving a truck and a Crv all winter it still blows my mind the first spring pull....aggressive trans tune with the stall and 391 gears just plants my ass in the seat.

My wife regularly finds me in the garage just staring at my Camaro. She just shakes her head and goes back inside. Some people just don't get it.

X2 will be 10 years this August and still have my Permagrin everytime I drive my Camaro. They knocked it out of the park with the Gen5.
All original except the tires and a few mods.
Love the rumble up hills or under load.
