How Many Use The DashLogic on there ZL1?

sakudog does yours turn on when you start up the car without having to unplug it and plug it back in? are you using the extension unit to plug it in? Also Kaboom I will try the F4 fuse thank you for the advice.

I really more than likely thought I would be wasting my time, but I decided to try the
firmware 1.21 upgrade this morning and Success!!!. The unit initialized for the first time when the car started up!. Finally!. great feeling. Also thanks to all that kept offering advice. best to all, happy trails.

I spoke too soon. when I first plugged it in and started up the car, the dashlogic initialized and started up. Then I shut off the car open the door, shut the door, started up the car and the dashlogic came on successfully again. However this does not seem to happen when the car has been off for a long period of time. Why I don't know, it doesn't make sense, but it doesn't. bummer.

So with the new firmware....are you able to get it to work properly on the radio display? This is something that has never worked properly on mine. But I haven't upgraded the firmware yet...just haven't had the chance... Would love to know if it fixed that or not though...

The DIC and the HUD worked just fine. But the radio would only display for a second and then got to it's normal radio display. That's the way mine has always been. I even shot a video to them to see if they could fix it. It works flawlessly on a regular Camaro's radio....but not so much on the ZL1 touch screen radio display. But like I said my firmware is an old 1.7 or 1.8 something. Everytime I asked them about it they just said that it takes time and they're still working on it. So I only use it everyonce in a while now when I'm doing some tuning and want to watch my IAT's or just checking something out that I don't want to break the laptop out for. I'll upgrade the firmware tonight and see if it stays or not...

I used the Autometer and had it wrapped in suede.

so tell me, Does anyone use the dashlogic with the extension connector, and is able to start up the car each day and have the dashlogic device initialize without needing to unplug it and plug it back in? Key word in here is with the extension connector.

If so, can you tell me if you had to do anything specific to get this to happen?. Thanks

Are you sure you don't have the Radio screen turned off feature enabled in Dashlogic?

You should be able to turn cruise control on, and then push the cancel button twice to get into DashLogic's config menu. From there you can push the door lock button to cycle through menu options, and the cruise control cancel button to toggle the screen on/off.

I use and extender and mine works. Have you tried the fuse pull to reset your cluster?

yes , I have tried the fuse pull, but not since the 1.21 firmware upgrade. So kaboom you telling me, when you start your car up, the dashlogic device starts up also? If so, did it do this only after you did a fuse pull?.
