Well.. This has been difficult for many of us even this early on. Im no exception.
I was about to have a cow this morning but got mine straightened all out.
Every dealer ship does things a bit different when ordering cars.
I was about to sweat bullets here until gt2serious from another dealership was able to calm my nerves. Thanks gt2serious!
What the deal was, I gave my salesman all my info yesterday, that in turn hooked my up with the General Sales Manager. They took all my info and my credit card info to secure the deposit. No problemo. Well I made the mistake of "assuming" they would run my card then and deduct my deposit. Some dealers do it then, some do it later. Well, they did not tell me that "some dealers run them now and some run them later" yesterday. So I am sitting here tripping out that they had not run my card yesterday. wtf?

I called late in the evening yesterday.... Salesman reassured they would run the card today sometime this afternoon...well I decided since my card had not been run yet that I would call and check into the matter. The salesman almost sounded like I was speaking with another individual. Keep in mind yesterday when I called to ask about allocation they only had two allocations, and NO ONE yet had inquired on either of the TWO. So he told me to calm down they would run my card "when the car is being built.'

I said... being built? I am only talking about securing an allocation spot here!
I dont want to wait till jan to see only all this time was in vein?
Anyway he forward me over to the GSM. The GSM was a lot calmer than I was and explained they will pull the deposit once the order is input into the system in the first week of November, then they would deduct the deposit.
He said others were in line now, but I was the first on the list.
I said I don't care about ANY of the people in line.. what I wanna know is
AM I GETTING ONE OF THOSE TWO ALLOCATION SPOTS????
His answer: " YES." "I PROMISE TO GET YOU A CAR." "I AM THE ONE GETTING THE OTHER SPOT."
So there you have it folks. For the whole entire c5 community to see.
I don't think my GSM will want the entire C5 ZL1 Forum calling him up early on in nov if I still don't have a MOVING 6 digit order number?

Yes. There will be blood. As sure as my ZL1 is Victory Red, there will be blood!

Im calm now.

gt2serious, your a good man.
Thank you for not treating me like my dealership has.
Another 15 minutes and I would have been able to buy from you.
I know its a game they all play but I could tell when I told them what they were doing was against the law, maybe we can calm down and it MIGHT be smoother from now on.

Theres at least 12 allocation spots at different dealerships in Ohio that I know of... Pat Obrien is in Cleveland and got 8.

Pat Obrien is in Cleveland and got 8. __________________ 2010 Camaro SS modified extensively. I stretched the body to make it a 4 door, but I swapped in the 3.6L DI V6 for fuel economy. Then I picked up a corvette body around the V8. I also swapped the body for a C2 Z28. (In short I traded it for three cars, a Corvette Z06r, a C2 Camaro Z28, and a Cadillac CTS Summer Performance package 3.6L DI with Aisin 6spd.)
