Z06 getting hot?

Hi all, did a track day at Road Atlanta and she was getting pretty warm.
89* outside air temps and 245* oil temps, did a lap mid session to cool down but gets hot quickly again.
Luckily a manual trans and a bone stock car.
Anyone here have any tricks to keep temps down?

Thx all Brian.

Trade it in for a ZL1.

Brian, that is one beautiful chariot!
In our experiences the Z06 is an animal on whatever track you put it on, but they also love to build heat like no other when run vigorously. When drag racing these car's we usually put excessive time in trying to cool the car between multiple runs, which we understand can be quite difficult when on a track like Road Atlanta. For guys that come to us with the intention of road racing we typically suggest upgrading the thermostat, heat exchanger, and air intake. These parts will not only help you keep engine temperatures in a performance happy range, but will also allow the Z06 to naturally make more power.

I agree, I put a new air intake and thermostat, and also filled in good oil and the car does not heat up so much now, but for how long it will last. I use Valvoline premium Valvoline 15W-40 Review,a pretty good oil that can protect against overheating, as well as in extreme conditions.

FYI - -you posted your comment in a Corvette C7 thread, not a Camaro thread
