Would 69,900 make you feel any better. It's definitely going to be sticker shock. I think GM has figured out they have better product than Ford now so the price has gone up accordingly.

I think so, too...but not by that much, imo. The Z/28 sold like crap at that price range, and they didn't even intend to sell that many of them. Based on spy pictures, the car won't have carbon brakes, and uses the same wheels as the 1LE...worth considering.

The rest of the lineup has increased in price by about 10%, and it's 4k (on average) more expensive than the competition. Using 10% over last generation, that puts the ZL1 around 60-62k...

Figure, if the 1LE package does all that it can for $7k (high guess), and an LT4 retails for $4k more than an LT1...throw those prices on top of a 2SS and add the costs for some strengthening of parts and unique bodywork, it should hit the showrooms at around $60 before options.

Also...there is some conjecture (purely that) that the 1LE has been restricted to the 1SS package, because if a person ordered a 2SS that way, maybe it would be too close to the price of a future ZL1, and that wouldn't make any sense to get it.

You're making way too much sense. Sure hope it is low 60's and oil prices go back up. Can't wait to get my hands on one.

Not sense...obsession!

Fingers crossed that oil prices go back up to a level you and I are both happy with!

...They will. You know it's only a matter of time.

I hear you on the medium level. I like low gas prices too but the layoffs are daily around here now and bankruptcy's are imminent. It is making me save up $$$ so when things stabilize I'll be ready with big down payment.

That's the spirit!

Hard to believe the situation of things in so many different sectors lately...we go from one extreme to the other so quickly....

Very interested! Could this share a new engine with the Z/28?

Still interested. I prefer NA.

I'm wondering what will be the difference in the GS from the Z06.

It would be lame, and a nail in the coffin for a 6th gen Z/28.
